Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody"
peaked at #4 on the Top 40. With the release of the movie soundtrack for
"Ghost",
the song was re-released in 1990, and peaked at #13 in its original
version. Because 45 rpms where being pulled from record stores and were no
longer generally available, the Righteous Brothers re-recorded and released a
new version as a cassette single. This new version peaked at #19 in the
same year.
